At todays price Bitcoin uses almost as much electricity as the nation of Australia. If Bitcoin goes to US$ 500,000 then it will use more electricity than every nation except the USA and China. Do Bitcoin users want to pay for all that electricity? Maybee we need a different way to do virtual currency?
